How do I use my Patriot Power Cell?
You might find the cord that comes with the Power Cell is not compatible with your phone. This cord is for charging your Patriot Power Cell unit. To charge your phone or any other device, use the cord that came with that device. The Patriot Power Cell works with your existing power cords. Anything with a USB end will fit.
Charge your Patriot Power Cell with the included AC cord the first time so it gets a fast, full charge. This is the best way to charge your Patriot Power Cell (solar charging takes longer and is intended as a backup method). Your AC cord works with any USB adapter, including a computer. You absolutely CAN charge it with the sun, it simply takes longer. We recommend leaving it in direct sunlight on a window sill or outside in the light.
How long does it take to charge?
It takes about 6 hours to charge using the USB power source, and about 40 hours by the sun. Charge time will vary depending on your conditions.
Will it work in the cold?
The operating temperature of the Patriot Power cell is 14 degrees F to 122. If you need to use your Patriot Power Cell in weather colder than 14 degrees, you should put it in your pocket or find another way to protect it from extreme cold for operation.
My cords do not fit?
Depending on how the customer is holding their charging cord, it may or may not need to go in “upside down” to fit into the slot but should not ever be forced as it may cause damage. Please be advised the two larger slots are for USB ends while the small slot is for the charging cord for the Patriot Power Cell. That center slot is not meant to charge any items.
The cord that comes with your Patriot Power Cell is only for charging your Patriot Power Cell unit. To charge your phone or any other device, use the cord that came with that device.
I am Canadian, why can’t you ship this to me?
Due to the sheer volume of governmental red tape involved in shipping products containing batteries through customs post 9/11, we are only able to ship to customers residing within the USA (including AK and HI) at this time but will be sure to announce if this changes.

I have an original iPhone SE (2017?). Apple got bad press last year (or two?) for messing with the battery life and charge/discharge levels, so I'm not sure if my battery is now just 'old' or the victim of some software update. In any event, a charge would last all day, but now dies in late afternoon or early evening, when I tend to read the news.
With the Power Cell I don't have to wait while the phone recharges or tether myself to an AC adapter. I just plug it into the Power Cell and keep going. Every few days I recharge the Cell, and on occasion let the solar panels top it off.

Have had my power cell since 11/20. Was a birthday present. It will not charge unless you hold it in just the right angle. I think the charging pins in the unit are loose. Had a phone that did that. Can’t just plug it in and let it charge.

my son is a wildland firefighter and is currently engaged in fighting the Palmer fire in Washington state. I bought a 4 pack of the power cells and gave my kids one. So far it has allowed my son to keep his phone charged which allows us to track him with the GPS app on his phone when he has service. He's been fighting this fire since Wednesday morning and is still there for the near future. So thankful for the power cell keeping his phone going. He wears it on his backpack during the day so it recharges and he can charge his phone when back at the spike camp or his base camp. Thank you for the power cell.

I don't do reviews normally, if the product does what it was advertised to do then i'm satisfied. first I gave it a 4 of 5 stars because I've only been using them for a year, and time tells, I have had other solar charge units, most have failed from leaving them out in the sun. this product has lived up to and beyond, left one on my dash board in my truck with the old other brand while camping, came back to fully charged patriot charger and an exploded other brand. was harsh but patriot still works.and spends a lot of time on my dash, always ready to go.
