FAQs
How do I use my
Patriot Power Cell?
You might find the cord that comes with the Power Cell is not compatible with your phone. This cord is for charging your Patriot Power Cell unit. To charge your phone or any other device, use the cord that came with that device. The Patriot Power Cell works with your existing power cords. Anything with a USB end will fit.
Charge your Patriot Power Cell with the included AC cord the first time so it gets a fast, full charge. This is the best way to charge your Patriot Power Cell (solar charging takes longer and is intended as a backup method). Your AC cord works with any USB adapter, including a computer. You absolutely CAN charge it with the sun, it simply takes longer. We recommend leaving it in direct sunlight on a window sill or outside in the light.
How long does it take
to charge?
It takes about 6 hours to charge using the USB power source, and about 40 hours by the sun. Charge time will vary depending on your conditions.
Will it work in the
cold?
The operating temperature of the Patriot Power cell is 14 degrees F to 122. If you need to use your Patriot Power Cell in weather colder than 14 degrees, you should put it in your pocket or find another way to protect it from extreme cold for operation.
My cords do not fit?
Depending on how the
customer is holding their charging cord, it may or may not need to go in
“upside down” to fit into the slot but should not ever be forced as
it may cause damage. Please be advised the two larger slots are for USB ends
while the small slot is for the charging cord for the Patriot Power Cell.
That center slot is not meant to charge any items.
The cord that comes with your Patriot Power Cell is only for charging your Patriot Power Cell unit. To charge your phone or any other device, use the cord that came with that device.
I am Canadian, why
can’t you ship this to me?
Due to the sheer volume of governmental red tape involved in shipping products containing batteries through customs post 9/11, we are only able to ship to customers residing within the USA (including AK and HI) at this time but will be sure to announce if this changes.

There's nothing I hate more than a dead phone so I got a couple of these. They proved to be really handy. I keep one in my purse and my kids use it all the time -- which might be an issue for most chargers but the Patriot Power Cell can charge 2 devices at once so it works out great. We can easily get a couple full phone charges out of each Patriot Power Cell. Also took it to the beach last summer and found the solar-charge option to be quite nice. Obviously the solar charging method is slower than the cord but that's to be expected. 10/10 would buy again.

faulty charger and poor customer service
I ordered two of these chargers, and one of them does not work at all. It doesn't stay charged for more than a few minutes, and is obviously faulty. The other one works great and I am very pleased with it and would just like to replace my faulty one; however getting someone to respond to my request for a new charger has been impossible. I have sent two messages with no replies. Not happy with the customer service, but would be happy with the product if both chargers worked as stated they would, and totally get sometimes things don't get made properly and need to be replaced, but getting it replaced has been more difficult than it should be.

Short lifespan
I bought a pair about a year ago and they worked fine for a few phone charges each but stopped charging devices a couple months ago. Too bad I'm not happy because it is a good idea.

Not impressed
Bought a four pack. Should have stuck with just one. Charges up very slowly, even in the bright sun.Faster with a wall plug. However, when used to charge my little flip phone. The phone "fully' charged off of the "fully" charged Patriot. Affords me about an hour run time at best. Where as, it usually most of the day on one full charge from wall socket. None of the 4 units do any better, unfortunately. Sooo, Meh.
