Patriot Power Generator 1800

In Feb 2021 we had the great Texas Freeze with very little power in subfreezing temperatures for 5 days. I had a Patriot Power Cell that kept my cell phone charged and for that I was grateful. Nevermind that internet via my smart phone was non existent because apparently AT&T couldn’t handle the traffic. But at least I could call and text my family. I had small oil lamps I lit in bathroom & kitchen. But we were freezing, heat from the gas fireplace was minimal. Cooking on the gas fireplace was very slow, plus I didn’t like breathing in all that gas. Plus there were rumors that the gas company was going to shut it off as demand was too great. So I ordered, received, and now I am prepared with this generator. I bought it to have the extra niceties for survival. Like the electric skillet, electric blanket, heating pad, cup of coffee, microwave, blender, fan, and lights. And cycle the fridge. The electric skillet on Med hits 1300W, but it boils water very quickly. When I received my unit, I tested all the items I wanted to use individually, and recorded the watts they used within x amount of time. The old toaster used too much power. OK I can live without that. It would not run the toaster oven on bake. Weird thing is, the wattage only ran up to 1450 and it shut down (not the 1800 max it should run). Well perhaps it had a quick zoom to > 1800 but it was too quick for me to see on the screen, so it shut down. OK, nbd, I can jimmy rig a dutch oven if I really want something baked. The big test tho, was my portable room AC. I really dreamed that it would work at least for a few hours. It ran 30 min and used only 1 bar. I figured ok maybe I get 3 hours if I really want to use up my charge that way. But 2nd time I tried it a few days later, I had 5 bars of charge and it ran down to zero within 5 minutes and turned off. Not sure why, outside/inside temp was the same as prior test. I have a call back into Patriots to ask them about that. The fan on it used avg of 85W and when the compressor kicked on it avgd approx 950W. But in reality, IDK that I want to use up all my 6 bars on the AC anyway, even if it did last 3 hours. To cycle the fridge and have the other uses are really more important. I do have a mister I can put on my fan, so that is more realistic. I did not try a small portable heater, just forgot to, but I am happy that I could wrap up in a heated blanket and use minimal power. I was pleased with the recharge time. Using wall, it went from zero to fully charged in 4.5 hours. On a Texas hot sunny day, it charged via 2 solar panels in 4 hours, from 2pm to 6pm. That is amazing, shorter time than the wall plug! Overall, I am happy and have peace of mind that when and if the Texas grid drops me I am not totally powerless. That is a nice feeling to have.

I used it everyday for a ups for my sleep machine.

I used it for 2 years with never shut it off so when the [power goes out it has passthrough power. Save my life over 35 power outage. I have tested it an older model with 4 solar panels charging it on a cloudy day. this unit is better than the newer one with the push rear button. The one that has the key in the rear is a faster charge unit. I have 3 different types. We had no power for a week it helped me through the rough time. I live in an apartment it was 105 degrees it helps me out with fans When everyone didn't have the power I was watching tv & cable.

Power the Patriot Way

I have been of independence mindset since I was a kid. Even when I could not understand why our government would seem to make poor decisions it became clear they didn’t make poor decisions. They were of a complete planned out plan to eventually enslave and control the citizens of this country. I don’t fear an outside attack by terrorists or some invading army that ain’t going to happen. But what is clear and is a present danger is our aging infrastructure especially our electrical grid. I started small at first by stockpiling Patriots food and now I can last at least a year. Then it was water purification via the Alexapure water treatment system which I might add is a must have for water purification. All Patriot products are outstanding and of high quality made right here in the good ol USA! But my final piece to my survival puzzle was power generation. Enter Patriot Power Generator. Now we all know that SHTF eventually and most likely it will start with power being down and I will be ready with this excellent machine: The Patriot Power Generator. I’m so happy my basic survival is now assured by this acquisition. Frank I have been watching and waiting for the right moment and opportunity to purchase this product and that moment came 2 weekends ago when I purchased 2 Patriot Solar Powerbacks. That purchase led to the Patriot Power Generator which happened to be on sale in that infomercial for the power packs. You talk about great timing the offer plus the additional free items that went along with it was a no brainer. My patience paid off in spades my friend. Getting the Patriot Power Generator for 50% off was the moment I had been waiting for. Thank you Frank for being the kind and thoughtful man that you are and I want to give a shout out to all the fine people in your customer service unit. Each and every time I have called on them and without fail I get service like I was the customer that was really a VIP, seriously they are that good. So I’m closing I thank God I found you and your people because like minded people must stay together. And when that day comes I can say with confidence that I will be ready to deal with whatever comes down the road. Your fellow Patriot and super happy customer NEIL G.

Overall Pleased ...

The Solar Generator is as advertised however, some of the additional items were never received. I called and they were apologetic and said they would send my items out right away ... that was months ago. Very disappointing.

Not really sure about this unit?

It can’t run a two phase we’ll pump, nor an A/C unit or anything else Two Phase yet it’s got a $2,000 price tag for the “Basic” unit? Seems like my money would be better spent on a complete home fuel oil unit? Which depending on the home I choose to use it on can be as little as $3500 complete with the ability to power ALL the items in my home?

Worth it's weight in GOLD!!!!

Great backup power for my fridge & providing power for a light & keeping 4 phones charged!
I bought this approx. 6-months ago, unpacked it, made sure it was fully charged and then packed it away. Last Friday we had a freak lightning storm hit taking down the local power. The Electric Co. had no estimate as to when the power would be back up. I pulled out my PPG and immediately connected my fridge and a light. Then we connected 4 cell phones & kept them charged. The power was restored after 6 hours. I left the PPG running to see how far it would go. It ran for another 7 hours before the low charge alarm started sounding. I then disconnected the fridge & light and began charging the unit back to a full charge which took approx. 6 hours! My family was very impressed with the unit and does not doubt my survival prep now! They embrace it! Thank you for a wonderful, easy to use product!!!!

I'm getting started this Memorial Day

The 1500 seems to be Great! I've been able to hook everything up except the long cord. is there an addapter that will attach the long cord (cable 30A to the 12 volt solar panel's cord? I feel so ignorant.
